Soon we will enter the new year 2025, that’s why we made a new year cross stitch pattern. You can make it as a home decoration or gift for friends and relatives. It’s easy to make so it’s suitable for beginners.
We didn’t create a new font but used a font we made from grid paper which you can read about here. So before continuing to make this pattern, you should first prepare the alphabet pattern.
Tools and Materials
The tools and materials you need to prepare are a grid paper, alphabet font, pencil, and colored pencils.
How to Make Happy New Year Cross Stitch Pattern
The first step in making a pattern with this grid paper is to write “HAPPY NEW YEAR” according to the alphabet font like the photos below.
After you have finished making the pattern, the next step is to color the number pattern with colored pencils. The color is adjusted to your wishes. We chose to color the pattern with 2 colors, namely light blue and dark blue. We color the letters in turn. You can see the photos below.

To commemorate the new year, you don’t have to say “HAPPY NEW YEAR” like us, but you can be as creative as you want with the font from grid paper. For example, making a cross stitch with quotes about the new year.
