Hello, welcome back to our blog. In the previous article, we shared 10 Eid Mubarak Card Cross Stitch Patterns edition 2 which you can download for free here. In this article, we will share two Eid Mubarak Card Cross Stitch projects.
Eid cards are one of the things prepared to welcome the Eid al-Fitr. Usually Eid cards are made from paper, but if you want something different then this article is for you. In this article you can see how we make Eid cards from cross stitch embroidery.
These two cross stitch embroidery projects are inspired by foods that are a tradition during Eid in Indonesia, namely ketupat and nastar. For more details, let’s go to the first project.
KETUPAT EID CARD
We got the idea for this first project from a typical Indonesian food called ketupat. Ketupat is made from rice wrapped in coconut leaves. This food is often served during Eid al-Fitr.
If you have never heard of ketupat and are curious about what it looks like, you can see the photo below.

This pattern design is in the form of an EID MUBARAK greeting with ketupat decorations around it. You can see the sketch below.
This pattern consists of 3 colors. You can download this Eid card cross stitch pattern for free here. The pattern code is CPEM0011. The pattern you download is in jpg format.

In this article we will show you that you can make the finished cross stitch embroidery into a beautiful Eid card. Insert the cross stitch into the paper frame. Then write your words on the back of the paper frame.

Food also became the inspiration for the second Eid card. Let’s move on to the second project.
CAKE EID CARD
The second project was inspired by food like the first project. While the previous cross stitch embroidery came from main course, the second came from snack, namely nastar.
Visiting each other’s homes to stay in touch is a tradition that is widely practiced in Indonesia. So to welcome guests we prepare cakes and other snacks.
Below is a photo of nastar, which is one of the pastries often served during Eid.

I didn’t draw the nastar in this second project design. I just took inspiration from a cake put in a jar.
This pattern design is in the form of two jars containing cakes in the shape of letters with the words HAPPY EID MUBARAK. You can see the sketch below.
